South Kilvington School Staff
Headteacher - Mrs Alison Whittaker
Mrs Whittaker is also the SENDCo, Designated person for Child Protection , Maths subject leader and teaches 3 afternoons each week to provide PPA cover for the teachers. Mrs Whittaker runs the School Choir and recorder band.
Class 1 - Mrs Lorna Craven
Mrs Craven teaches EYFS & Year 1 and is responsible for EYFS assessment. She joined South Kilvington in September 2015.
Class 2 - Mrs Rachel Ryan & Mrs Rachel Denton
Mrs Ryan teaches Year 2 in the morning and Years 1 & 2 in the afternoons every Monday to Wednesday. She is responsible for RE and KS1 Assessment this year. She assists Mrs Whittaker with the School Choir after school on Wednesdays.
Mrs Denton teaches Year 2 on Thursday and Friday mornings and Years 1 & 2 on those afternoons. She is responsible for Science throughout school and runs a recorder club for beginners on Thursday lunchtimes.
Class 3 - Mrs Jayne Shaw
Mrs Shaw teaches Year 3 & 4 . Mrs Shaw is the school's English subject leader and Deputy Designated Person for Child Protection. She is also subject leader for Personal, Social, Health & Citizenship Education (PSHCE).
Class 4 - Mr Andy Cryer
Mr Cryer is the class teacher for Years 5 & 6 and a PE specialist, so he also takes some PE lessons in other classes and leads school sport. He is responsible for KS2 Assessment and the School Council.
Our Teaching Assistants
Mrs Clark, Miss Riding, Mrs Lamb, Mrs Causley, Mrs Towse and Mrs Fletcher work with individuals, groups and within classrooms to support the teachers and children. All of our teaching assistants also work as Midday Supervisors at lunchtime and often supervise groups at sports events too. Mrs Binbay is an additional Midday Supervisor working every lunchtime.
Ms Smith runs the school office and is always ready to help everybody. She is also our main first aider.
Mrs Stapylton prepares fresh meals every day on site in our school kitchen.
Our Site Manager
Mr Bryan Dickinson keeps our school clean and safe. As he works across a number of schools, he can be contacted via the school office.
