Class 4 Home Learning Activities: Summer Term 1
Hello everyone, I hope you are all keeping well and have had a lovely Easter Break.
Due to the continuing school closure as a result of Covid 19, I will continue to update the class page each week with home learning activities. This includes a daily reading activity and maths activity, a spelling word of the day, a science activity, and a research activity, as well as some Art/DT and PE from the Joe Wicks YouTube Channel. More details for each activity can be found in the activity document below. As always, we would love to see what you are doing at home, so please keep us updated on the class Facebook page, the SeeSaw page, or by using my email.
Best Wishes, Mr Acaster
Using Seesaw for Home Learning
To use the 'Seesaw' app to submit and celebrate home learning you need a 'log in' which I will privately message on the Facebook group.
1. Go to https://web.seesaw.me on a computer. Or install the Seesaw Class iOS or Android app.
2. Tap/click “I’m a Student”.
3. Type in your Home Learning code into the ‘text code box’.
(You don’t use the email/password login)
4. Post to your journal, respond to activities, and view class announcements.
5. Remember, this code is like a password. Keep it safe!
Posts need to be reviewed by myself before they can be seen in the class journal
May Half Term
Hello again everyone, I hope you have enjoyed the activities this week, I have certainly enjoyed seeing the work you have produced. For May half term I have given you a list of different activities to try. I would like you to complete the "Patterns in Nature" worksheet and finish off any other work you may not have had a chance to complete. Please feel free to send me pictures of this or any other work you do - I will be happy to respond via email or on SeeSaw.
Have a lovely Half Term!
White Rose Maths Update: Friday 1st May 2020
Good afternoon everyone, I hope you and your families are all well and you are enjoying the tasks we have been setting on the class pages. The school has subscribed to White Rose to continue the home learning maths lessons, however this means the sheets for the activities will be uploaded to the school website. We will be able to do this from Monday but this could mean there are no sheets for Monday's lessons. As an alternative, the BBC Bitesize sheets will still be available to download and use from the BBC Bitesize page.
The government have commissioned and launched these two resources to help parents with school-age children at home. there is no obligation to use them, but they offer variety and the BBC programme give children a different presenter which will give parents time off from being the teacher.
