Welcome to South Kilvington Church of England (VC) Primary School.
Our shared Christian Vision is for South Kilvington to be a place where safe, happy and remarkable children can influence the world! This is rooted in our Christian Values of courage, compassion and respect. We are a fully inclusive school that nurtures and develops children academically, spiritually, socially and emotionally. We are very proud of the inspiring teaching that takes place here, along with the nurturing relationships and a relentless determination to support the needs of all children. Children really are at the heart of every decision we make as a school.
South Kilvington is a friendly village school, just a mile from the North Yorkshire market town of Thirsk. There are currently 91 pupils aged 4-11 years. As a school, we pride ourselves on the excellent music and sports opportunities on offer for all children as well as the nurturing pastoral care we provide. We have strong links with our local church, St Wilfrid's and local clergy are regular visitors in school. We are part of North Star Alliance, a collaboration of primary, secondary and special schools in North Yorkshire. Our collective aim is to improve outcomes for all children through a self-sustaining, dynamic system of school improvement and support across the region and beyond.
This website aims to give you an overview of the school, as well as providing regular, updated information for both parents and pupils.
