Welcome to South Kilvington CE (VC) Primary School!
South Kilvington is a small, friendly village school, just a mile from the North Yorkshire market town of Thirsk. There are currently 95 pupils aged 4-11 years, taught in four mixed-age classes.
We are a very inclusive school, committed to helping every child achieve their best within a caring, family atmosphere in which the core Christian values of mutual care and respect for each other underpin all we do. The school offers high quality teaching, a good range of music and sport activities, and excellent pastoral care in an attractive building which includes the original Victorian schoolrooms alongside a 2008 extension. We have strong links with our local church, St Wilfrid's and local clergy are regular visitors in school. Staff personalise learning to meet the needs of all children, including those with additional needs.
This website aims to give you an overview of the school, as well as providing regular, updated information for both parents and pupils. If you are considering South Kilvington as a school for your child, we encourage you to visit us for our next OPEN DAY which will be on a Saturday in September 2020 (final date to be confirmed) between 2-4pm. Alternatively, our school administrator, Mrs Sarah Smith, will be happy to make an appointment for you and your child; please phone 01845 523191.
We hope that you enjoy your visit to our website, and that you find the information you are looking for. Please feel free to contact the school directly with any queries you may have.
