South Kilvington School Staff
Headteacher - Mrs Alison Whittaker
Mrs Whittaker is the Designated Safeguarding Lead. She teaches groups and classes throughout the school to provide additional teaching groups or cover teachers when they are working out of class.
Class 1 - Mrs Lorna Craven
Mrs Craven teaches EYFS & Year 1 and is responsible for EYFS assessment and our Read, Write Inc programme. She is also the Co-ordinator for children with Special Educational Needs & disabilities (SENCO) and subject leader for Art & Design.
Class 2 - Mrs J Shaw
Mrs Shaw teaches Year 2 & 3 and is subject leader for English and Personal, Social, Health & Citizenship Education (PSHCE).
Miss Wilkinson teaches Class 2 on Fridays and KS2 on Thursday afternoons. She is the subject leader for Modern Foreign Languages.
Class 3 - Mrs A Collins
Mrs Collins teaches Year 4 & 5 and is the Designated Safeguarding Lead if the headteacher is not in school. Mrs Collins is the subject leader for Maths and RE. She also leads many music activities in school.
Class 4 - Mr T Acaster
Mr Acaster is the class teacher for year 6. He is subject leader for Science and Computing.
Our Teaching Assistants
Mrs Clark, Mrs Bainbridge, Mrs Towse, Mrs Pearson and Mrs Fletcher work with individuals, groups and within classrooms to support the teachers and children. All of our teaching assistants also work as Midday Supervisors at lunchtime and often supervise groups at sports events too.
Ms Smith runs the school office and is always ready to help everybody. She is also our main first aider.
Mrs Stapylton prepares fresh meals every day on site in our school kitchen, with the help of our Kitchen Assistant, Mrs Kelly.

Mrs Binbay works with Classes 1 & 2 and Mrs Rowley-Bell works with Classes 3 & 4 at lunchtimes.
Our Site Manager
Mr R Burniston keeps our school clean and safe. He can be contacted via the school office.
