Class 2
Hello, my name is Miss Adams and I teach Year 2 and Year 3 children in class 2 at South Kilvington Academy. Over the past thirteen years of teaching, I have worked across a range of primary ages, two of those years I worked in a specialist provision. I am passionate about creating a fun and enriching curriculum which is inclusive to all.
Throughout my teaching career I have been fortunate to work alongside many specialist teachers and teams, hosting a variety events and celebrated learning in imaginative ways. We are fortunate that South Kilvington Academy is perfectly located, with many towns, attractions and castles just a short walk or bus ride away. I am passionate our children are given every chance to experience these hidden treasures making their learning fun, purposeful and enjoyable but most importantly, memorable.
As well as class teacher, another responsibility I have is leading the development of our reading and writing curriculum. I endeavour to give all children numerous opportunities to develop their knowledge and vocabulary through stories that enrich minds and spark adventure. Each term, children are transported into new worlds and introduced to many exciting characters through the love of sharing stories.
I live on the out skirts of North Yorkshire with my fiancé and our children. We love being outside, walking with our dog, especially if our walks are on the beach. I am very fortunate to live and work in such a beautiful part of the country.
